Humanitarian Recognition

Community Chaplaincy of Larimer County is part of the Behavioral Health Team that falls under the Health & Medical Services Branch when there is an emergency. Each June, the Health & Medical Services Branch holds an Annual Partnership Meeting to receive important information, extra training, and get to know the partners who are responding alongside one another.

On June 28, 2023, at the Annual Partnership Meeting, several agencies, including Community Chaplaincy of Larimer County, received a Humanitarian Recognition for their work during the Migrant Resettlement in December 2022. This was our first official deployment as a full team of Spiritual Care and Mental Health Responders and because of these Chaplains, we had someone providing Spiritual Care at every shift. A big Thank You goes to all those who volunteered during this very busy time of year, and for all who gave extra support and resources, including the Interfaith Community, who helped fund bus tickets for several people needing to go elsewhere.

Erin will be contacting all of those who responded that week as individuals will also receive a certificate of recognition.
Thank you, all, for your love and care during this situation, and for your willingness to provide care in situations as we move forward.
